Qader Ashna: Covid-19 restrictions should not be confusing

Iran Theater- Qader Ashna, Director General of Performing Arts, said: "The conditions for communicating cultural and artistic restrictions throughout the country should be coordinated so that artists do not get confused. However, this situation is not only for theater, it includes all cultural and artistic centers of the country."

Yesterday, there were controversies about the closure of theater halls, cinemas and other cultural and artistic centers, which caused various and contradictory issues to be raised in the media.

Qader Ashna said:” The rule is that if we are to be notified, Headquarters will first notify the Ministry, and the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance will inform us but this did not happen yesterday.”

He added:” A: Certainly, if something is communicated to us, we will act according to the decree, while nothing has been ordered to us at the moment, we will continue, and if it is communicated, we will close the halls without any questions.”

Ashna emphasized:” Anyway, there are definitely works that are ready to be performed now or a series of shows that are now on stage, we are constantly checking that everything is in harmony and there is no problem for the groups, We expect to be notified a day or two in advance if a new notice is issued so that we are ready.”
