Qader Ashna:

We will support the theater groups

Iran Theater- The Director General of Performing Arts Center stated: The Ministry will soon announce the full support fund package for the Halls that lost financially because of COVID-19 pandemic. We also have programs for supporting private halls, including grants.”

Last week Qader Ashna announced 300 million Tomans donation to private theater halls.

 

the Director General of Performing Arts of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance stated : Following the issue of financial losses of private halls in Tehran due to the coronavirus pandemic , It has been agreed to provide a loan through the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, in addition to the Kara site, follow-ups accompanied by Ms. Heidari (Deputy Minister of Management Development and Resources of the Ministry of Guidance), It has been reached that a loan will be given through the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs,  in addition to the Kara site, follow-ups accompanied by Ms. Heidari (Deputy Minister of Management Development and Resources of the Ministry of Guidance), representative of the General Directorate of Performing Arts (Atabak Naderi), The theater and the director of the Iranian Association of Private Theaters (Shahin Chegini) took place, and the government was supposed to give a 100 million Toman low-interest loan to the theater halls.”

In his latest talks  with FARS News Agency, Qader Ashna explained more about the fund package.

He said:” we hold meetings with the country's artists and officials every week. Following this discussion, we held a four-hour meeting with the performing arts associations of the country's provinces and talked in detail about theater issues, coronavirus pandemic issues and the problems in  provinces so that the performing arts associations can continue to work together in the best possible way.”

 

“last week, we held a video conference with several general managers of our provinces in the to review the conditions of provinces such as Lorestan, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, Kurdistan and several other provinces. However, the subject of theater is very interesting and important for the Ministry and the General Directorate of Performing Art Center.

About holding local stage festivals he said:”As I said before, the country can not be closed, so if the halls are open, some people will Complain, and if we close theater halls, some people will have words and criticisms. Common sense dictates that  Coronavirus  are with us at the moment, and not only us, but no country will allow hotels and inns, cinemas, theaters and restaurants to be closed, so everyone should meet the same conditions..”
