Mohsen Ardeshir to Iran Theater:
I’ll direct “Pinochet 1983” at FITF

Iran Theater- Mohsen Ardeshir, the founder of the Soner Theater Group, has been working in various fields of theater for many years, especially street theater and teaching acting in Mazandaran province.
About his recent activities he talked to Iran Theater.
He said: "I have been working on the play Pinochet 1983 for some time to attend the Fadjr Theater Festival and Ebrahim Posht Koohi is my consultant. The theme of the play is the history of Chile in the 1970s and the fall of the popular government of Salvatore Allende by General Pinochet and the replacement of tyranny with democracy.”
Augusto José Ramón Pinochet Ugarte was a Chilean general, politician and dictator who ruled Chile from 1973 to 1990, first as the president of the Military Junta of Chile from 1973 to 1981, before being automatically self-declared President of the Republic by the junta in 1974becoming de facto dictator of Chile.
He added” Working conditions have become more difficult during the coronavirus pandemic, and the type of support for groups operating, especially in cities, is not clear at all. In any case, in the current situation, the limitations caused by the corona outbreak have led to new methods of performances being considered.”
He believed:” The important point is that the shows in these difficult times can give people a sense of hope, and street theater made its first start in late spring this year.”
