Iran Theater-Referring to the closure of artistic activities due to Coronavirus outbreak, Shahram Karami, director of performing art Center said, efforts were being made not to harm theater groups.

He added:” Unfortunately, this is a crisis that has happened to the society and the coronavirus has spread . Hopefully things will go well for us to get rid of the corona virus as soon as possible.”

“Due to the coordination of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance with specialized authorities and in order to prevent Coronavirus outbreak, all artistic activities, including cinema, theater and music, even festival activities have been suspended and postponed to another time.”

“The point that first comes to mind is that theater  groups that work and have spent several months trying to rehearse and perform  shows have lost money. Because the activities of these groups depend on box office and it is natural that in these circumstances it is not possible to sell tickets and it is very difficult for theater groups to afford.”
