Shahram Karami, jury member of the Central Province Festival:
Provincial festivals are one of the oldest theatrical events in Iran

Iran Theater-Shahram Kerami considers provincial festivals to be one of the oldest theatrical events in Iran, which have created a trend in different cities and created many artists.
Shahram Karami, playwright, director and jury members of the 36th Central Festival, said about the importance of holding and features of provincial festivals.
He stated that the provincial theater festival is one of the oldest theater events in the country: "This festival is considered the main artistic event and the only theater event that is held in all provinces."
He added "During the past four decades, holding this event has led to the prosperity, expansion and development of the theater. In some periods, people criticized that all events in the provincial theater end up in a theater festival, and I think that these events created the movement of theater in Iran. As a matter of fact, this festival has created a large generation of Iranian theater artists and introduced them to the theater community, and today there are public performances in most provinces, and the provincial theater complements this flow.”
The Jury of the 36th Central Province Festival said: "These days, I am witnessing the dynamism, desire and enthusiasm of active groups, which I think has this potential in other provinces of the country and can be used to promote the country's theater and Fadjr International Festival."
