The 35th Fadjr International Theater Festival inaugurated on Friday with the opening of photo, poster and visual identity exhibition and commemoration of the firefighters lost their lives in extinguishing Tehran’s Plasco high-rise on Thursday.

Eugenio Barba, one of the internationally-known contemporary theatre figures and founder of the famous Odin Teatret, will visit Tehran in early February to perform The Tree and give performing arts workshops.

Dramatic Arts Center has called on artists, critics and researchers to attend two Master Classes and two workshops by Eugenio Barba and Odin Teatret.

Fifty seven pieces will be staged in 10 private and semi-official auditoriums during the 35th Fadjr International Theater Festival.

The first press conference of the 35th Fadjr International Theater Festival was held on Sunday in Mashahir Hall of the City Theater with the participation of Saeed Asadi, secretary of the festival, Payman Shariati, executive secretary of the festival and Fahimeh Panah Azar, public relations director ...

“ICELAND”, written by Nicolas Billon, is about immigration and its cultural impacts on people lives. It is about those who immigrate to reach Utopia in a foreign land but get disappointed and enter into the limbo. Fahimeh Amanzadeh acts strongly in a difficult and internal role in “ICELAND”.

Reza Kianian will have a debut stage direction and Hedayat Hashemi and Bahareh Rahnama will play in his first drama direction experience.

Masoud Delkha, a jury member of the 35th Fadjr International Theater Festival, said that correct choice of jury members would help improve the perspective of the festivals and their quality.

The main objective of visual identity is to picture the character of theater troupes and be consistent and unified with pieces.
